"Marianne Faithfull's tour cancelled" - 14th May, 2008

A notice was posted to Marianne Faithfull's official website [May 28th, '08]announcing that her tour has been cancelled due to "general mental, physical and nervous exhaustion". Her doctors have ordered her to cease all activities and to rehabilitate.
Faithfull's treatment and recovery is scheduled to last 6 months. She is still planning her new album release and tour in '09.

"New album and champagne" - 22 January, 2008

Marianne Faithfull said she has a new album, “Easy Come Easy Go,” coming out in September. “We recorded live in the studio in New York -- the old way,” said Faithfull, who revealed she’s also been asked by Perrier-Jouet to help create a special Champagne. “The only thing is I don’t drink. I’ll have to get someone else to do the tasting.”
